Qualifications (Fife/Sergeant Major): - To qualify for the rank of Sergeant Major, the Fifer must pass off all songs listed above plus an optional song of their choice (excluding songs already listed in the rank system).
- Songs may be performed with the aid of sheet music.
- The tester must be a Fifer of the rank of Fife Major.
